Separating mind from sanity
No matter what you think of Katherine Harris, the former Florida Secretary of State who oversaw the 2000 presidential recount debacle, you, too, must be surprised at how quickly she has fallen from GOP graces in her bid for a U.S. Senate seat. And it's all but certain that if she still wins the Republican primary she'll lose handily to incumbent Democratic Senator Bill Nelson. Her recent remarks about the separation of church and state being "a lie we have been told," and that the nation's founding fathers did not intend that the country be "a nation of secular laws," might, in fact, shock our founding fathers, many of whom were deists.
But ours is not to wonder why Ms. Harris chose this year's Senate race to implode, politically. She no doubt daydreamed about a future bid for the White House, running against arch-nemesis Hillary Clinton and carrying the weight of the evangelical world on her padded shoulders. But that contest will never be, and ours is simply to sample some tasty YouTube fodder while we (and Ms. Harris) ponder what might have been:
Jettisoned by the GOP
Separating mind from sanity
Sharing the spotlight with Osama
Hooking up in Congress (watch the background)
Sharing some profile with the boys at Fox "News"
"If you're not electing Christians, then in essence you are going to legislate sin ... did I just say that?"

Bush's Gift Horse has Hoof in Mouth, again!
Hello Mark and all,
This gets to the root of the problem of deluded and greedy politicians who seek to impose their own ignorance on millions of others. Because of our reliance on money, politics, and religion, we are teetering on the verge of worldwide disaster. Idiots like Ms. Harris couldn't care less about everyone else as long as they get their hands on wealth and power, even if it means pretending to serve the Creator. It is long past time that people stand up for truth and justice and give these scoundrels their due.
